First I want to thank Bob Hobson of Service Plus International for all of his expertise, professionalism and especially his patience. This was the first year we shiped our own material to Toronto for our tradeshow. Initially I spent a lot of time trying to gather information to educate myself on the requirements for exporting thinking I was going to handle it myself. Then I started reading the horror stories about freight sitting in warehouses awaiting clearance. Since our tradeshows are the core of our business, I knew I couldn't risk the chance of any complications or delays. It was then I realized I needed professional assistance. That's when my USA carrier suggested I contact Bob Hobson at Service Plus International.

Bob explained the process and what was needed to insure a smooth clearance for our time sensitive tradeshow material. Whew - what a relief! I was now confident that our material and our exhibitors' material were going to arrive at the show site on time, which it did. Bob also jumped in when two of our vendors called me, frantic, because their shiments were sitting in warehouses awaiting proper clearance documentation. Unfortunately, they had shiped via UPS & FedEx without prior customs clearance arrangements. Had Bob not intervened, these two vendors' freight would not have arrived at the show site on time.

Bob kept in constant contact with me on the progress of the shiments. The best part was that because he possessed the knowledge needed, he made sure all of the requirements were in place up front. This meant there were no suprises once the process began. A lesson the two vendors have now learned.
